Apartment is nowhere near the hotel, bit of a palaver to get there
Quite a large, newly decorated apartment, but it is a 10 minute drive from the hotel. Kitchen, bathrooms and sitting room had appropriate facilities. Generally clean.
It took about 45 minutes to sort out access to the apartment. The receptionist at Hotel Santiago was lovely, but overwhelmed with phone calls and arriving guests, and had to call the manager to come in ( it was 9.30pm). The app that was supposed to open the apartment entrance remotely ( Akiles) didn't work. In the end the manager drove with us to the apartment and let us in with a set of keys. He was charming, but it all took too long, and the apartment should not be advertised as at the same address as Hotel Santiago. Once there, the apartment is fine, but the previous guest's dishes were still in the dishwasher, and had not been cleaned properly ( no dishwasher tablets in the flat, so guest or cleaner had probably just turned it on without tablets) and only a very old sponge was in the cupboard if you wanted to wash a few cups by hand. Don't know who lives in the flats opposite the bedrooms, but people were shouting and talking loudly in the street from about 4.30am, and a car kept sounding its horn around 6am as if to call someone out of the flats. So overall not a very satisfactory one night stay. Perhaps it was just a bad night....at least the bed was comfortable!
